Job summary

Turning Point of Central California, Inc. in California is seeking a Direct Service Professional to provide direct care services to residents under supervision of the Program Director.

You will support treatment plans, maintain records, and assist with daily living skills and group activities. Responsibilities include transporting residents to appointments, attending trainings, and ensuring proper staffing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with some college coursework in a relevant field.
• Minimum 6 months of direct care experience with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Must be 21+ years old under California Health & Safety Code.
• Ability to write progress reports and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the accomplishment of the treatment plan under supervision.
• Maintain accurate case records in line with guidelines.
• Transport residents to appointments and tests.
• Conduct daily living skills sessions and re-socialization activities.
• Attend staff and supervision meetings.
• Participate in training sessions and practicum.
• Encourage resident participation in treatment activities.
• Motivate residents to develop daily living skills.
• Observe residents’ condition and report changes to the Program Director.
• Ensure staffing ratio by working various shifts as needed.
