Job summary

Seminole Shores Assisted Living Center in Michigan seeks a Shift Supervisor for 1st shift to lead resident care staff and ensure high-quality daily care. The role manages operations on each shift, ensuring service plans are followed with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating care, communicating with healthcare professionals and families, and guiding assessments. Requires CNA/CENA/MA/LPN certifications and CPR, with background and drug screenings.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and carry out directions in English.
• Caregiving certification or experience preferred: CNA, CENA, MA, or LPN.
• Leadership, supervisory, and communication experience preferred.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Must complete Heritage Property Management Med Tech Certification training and pass the Med Tech test.
• CPR certification.
• Must pass state criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Supervise resident services staff and daily care delivery.
• Ensure residents receive care per service plans.
• Update resident assessments and care plans as needed.
• Communicate with licensed health care professionals, families, and care partners regarding resident conditions, medications, and treatments.
• Lead emergency responses to ensure resident safety.
• Document incidents and notify appropriate parties.
• Perform staff performance reviews (90 days and annually).
• Deliver staff coaching and counseling as needed.
• Assist with ADLs: bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, mobility, dining.
• Respond promptly to resident requests and call lights.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to supervisor.
• Document care and services as directed.
• Assist residents with meals and life enrichment activities.
• Train staff to fulfill center goals and objectives.
