Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and emotional support to residents. The role involves assisting with activities, meals, and daily living tasks in a caring, respectful environment.

You will liaise with families and the case manager, document actions daily, and participate in activities. Prior CNA/HHA experience is preferred. A PM/shift schedule and on-call coverage are available.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living preferred.
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Ability to make responsible choices and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated in the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
