Job summary

Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a Full Time Day Shift Med Aide to provide medication administration and daily living assistance to residents. The role runs 6:00 am–3:30 pm with every other weekend and holiday rotation, requiring an active SD Med Aide license at hire.

You will support residents with self-administration of meds, bathing, dressing, and mobility while maintaining safety and cleanliness across patient areas. Strong adherence to OSHA/CDC guidelines is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED may be required based on working state.
• If working at a facility in which a lift is utilized to move residents, must meet the minimum state age requirement.
• Must complete and maintain assigned medication administration training program and competencies per state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with self-administration of medications and may administer medications with proper training.
• Assists residents with bathing, dressing, toileting and maintaining cleanliness.
• Obtain vital signs accurately and report changes in health status.
• Follow OSHA/CDC guidelines to minimize infections and maintain aseptic technique.
