Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a dedicated caregiver for the Day shift in Sioux Falls, SD. The role involves administering medications, assisting residents with daily activities, and delivering compassionate care to support independence and safety.

You will work full-time on the day shift with every other weekend and holiday rotation. A SD Med Aide license is required, along with completing state-required training for medication administration.

Qualifications

• Active SD Med Aide license required at time of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED may be required based on working state.
• Must complete and maintain assigned medication administration training per state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provides care and services such as medication administration, healthcare services, activities of daily living assistance and other duties, as assigned.
• Assists residents with self-administration of medications.
• Obtains vital signs accurately and reports changes in resident health status.
• Assists residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, transfers and mobility.
• Follows OSHA/CDC guidelines and SDS for safety and infection control.
