John Knox Village of Central Florida, Inc. seeks an Activities Assistant to plan, coordinate, and facilitate daily therapeutic activity programs for residents under the Alzheimer’s Program Manager. You will assist in developing calendars, lead group and 1:1 activities, and support resident engagement while ensuring safety and compliance.

A hands-on, creative, and patient approach is essential. The role requires high school completion, strong communication, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with knowledge of activity skills such as crafts, music, exercise and group leadership.
• Computer skills required; fluent in Microsoft Word, Publisher and Office; typing ability and editing of calendars/newsletters.

Responsibilities

• Support and work in harmony with all residents and staff to create a caring environment.
• Lead assigned groups or 1:1 activity programs and assist in planning monthly calendars.
• Assist in completing resident assessments and quarterly/annual documentation.
• Maintain attendance charts and assist with field trips and special events.
• Observe safety and infection control practices during activities.
