Job summary

WellCare Homes is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional to supervise DSPs and residents in a residential care setting. The LDSP will help implement care plans, support behavioral programs, and ensure safety and dignity of residents.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and adherence to Title 17/Title 22 regulations, with non-exempt status and overtime eligibility. A valid California driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain and maintain RBT certification or possess QBMP/LPT licensure.
• Minimum six months of experience providing direct care services.
• DSP 1 and DSP 2 certification required or ability to obtain certification.
• DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance, health screening, and TB clearance required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Valid California driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support DSPs during assigned shifts to ensure quality resident care.
• Provide direct care assistance to residents with activities of daily living.
• Assist with implementation of resident IPP, IBSP, IEIP, Health Care Plans, and related programming.
• Monitor resident condition and report concerns to management.
• Assist residents with transportation and community activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and incident reports in compliance with Title 17/Title 22 and company requirements.
• Safeguard resident funds and ensure related records are accurate.
