Job summary

WellCare Homes is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional to supervise Direct Support Professionals and support residents within a residential care facility. This full-time, non-exempt role pays $26.00–$28.00 per hour and requires driving capability under company insurance policies.

The LDSP will implement resident care plans, behavior support programs, and ensure regulatory compliance while promoting health, safety, dignity, and well-being of residents served.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED with relevant care experience.
• Must understand Title 17 and Title 22 regulations in a residential care setting.
• Ability to supervise DSP staff and ensure quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Direct Support Professionals during shifts to ensure quality care and compliance.
• Provide direct care assistance with ADLs and personal care needs.
• Assist with IPP, IBSP, IEIP, and health care plan implementation and monitoring.
• Monitor residents and report changes to management and maintain safety.
• Assist with medication self-administration and documentation.
• Transport residents to medical appointments and activities in company vehicles.
