Job summary

Homestead Healthcare is seeking a Resident Care Coordinator for our senior living community. The role involves leading care staff, coordinating resident services, and maintaining family communication.

You will also serve as manager-on-call and partner with the Executive Director on key projects. The position requires a proven leadership track, strong communication, and the ability to provide personal care when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a senior living community.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to provide personal care for residents when needed.
• Experience with 7 shifts scheduling software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with families, management, and care staff in all operations, including priorities and assignments.
• Monitor departments, interpret policies, evaluate performance, coach staff, and address discipline.
• Maintain knowledge of state regulations and ensure surveys compliance.
• Monitor labor costs and assist with budgeting.
• Demonstrate independent judgment, problem solving, and initiative.
• Track attendance and carry out disciplinary actions when needed.
• Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
• Supervise caregivers and med techs on the floor.
• Cover multiple shifts and create staff schedules.
• Interview and orient new staff; make hiring recommendations.
• Assist Manager in all projects as needed.

Our Senior Living Facility is looking for a Resident Care Coordinator. We are looking for a leader who can care for the residents and manage staff. Also, manager-on-call responsibilities when needed, someone who’s not afraid of challenges! Communication with family members is critical. Must be team-oriented, as supporting the Executive Director will be a significant part of the position.

Duties include

• Work with the families, management, and care staff in all aspects of operations, including setting priorities and job assignments.
• Monitor each department, communicate and interpret policies, evaluate performance, provide feedback, and assist coach, and discipline staff as necessary.
• Maintain current knowledge of State Regulations and ensure compliance in all surveys.
• Monitor labor costs.
• Demonstrate independent judgment and discretion, problem-solving, and thinking outside the box.
• Responsible for tracking attendance and effectively carrying out disciplinary action where appropriate.
