Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is hiring a Cook to prepare and cook meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will ensure quality, taste, and presentation while following sanitation standards and dietary guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior cooking experience, and the ability to follow recipes. Certification in ServSafe or Food Handler may be required by state law. Residency within the service area is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain positive attitude and communicate effectively with occupants, staff, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-20 vaccination policies
• Must lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Must perform routine, repetitive tasks
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required by state/county law
• Residency within the service area required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
