Job summary

Salyersville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Resident Care Assistant to support residents under the supervision of the Charge Nurse. This role involves performing non-nursing, non-direct resident care duties and helping maintain a positive physical, social, and psychological environment for residents.

Responsibilities include visiting residents regularly, transporting residents, assisting with meals and activities, and ensuring residents' rights are observed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a friendly personality and ability to listen and talk to residents.
• Desire to care for people and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to write simple records and reports under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Visit with residents on a regular basis.
• Perform basic non-clinical resident care such as transporting residents within the facility.
• Assist with Residents' Rights guidelines and provide a positive environment.
• Assist residents with preparing food as needed and collect food trays.
• Make unoccupied beds, transport linen, clean tables and stands, and store personal items.
