Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff.
• Speak, read, and write English.
• Prior LTC nursing assistant experience preferred; or equivalent education and experience.
• Successful completion of State Approved Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program.
• Good standing in the state registry is required.

Responsibilities

• Answer call lights and determine resident needs.
• Provide direct resident care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Record meals, hydration, and intake; document care provided.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident units and equipment.
• Report changes in residents’ conditions to supervisors.
