Morningside House Senior Living in Leesburg, VA is hiring a part-time Resident Care Attendant for the weekends. You will assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety while reporting to the Health & Wellness Director.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and helps residents maintain dignity and independence.
• Assists with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and escort services as needed.
• Follows the schedule of residents’ needs set out by supervisor and documents daily logs.
• Provides emotional and social support to residents and informs supervisor of issues.
• Maintains confidentiality and a safe, respectful environment for residents, visitors and staff.
• Attends required training and staff meetings; adheres to policies and procedures.

Resident Care Attendant - Position Summary:

Provides assistance to residents with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity. This position reports to the Health & Wellness Director.

Resident Care Attendant - Essential Functions

• Provides assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Follows the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor.
• Provides emotional and social support to residents.
• Documents daily log of assistance.
• Informs supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
• Resident Care Attendant respects residents’ confidentiality.
• Is familiar with emergency equipment and procedures.
• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Resident Care Attendant maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
