Job summary

Freedom Village Holland is hiring a Resident Care Associate (RCA) / Caregiver for the 1st shift part-time role (6am-2pm). You'll assist licensed nursing staff with activities of daily living and support residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, eating, and mobility.

You will promote independence and dignity, document observations, transfer residents, and participate in in-service training. The role offers a sign-on bonus and growth opportunities through CNA classes and state testing.

Qualifications

• Prior geriatric experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to document care accurately.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dressing, grooming, bathing, positioning, and exercising
• Perform basic treatments, tests, and procedures as instructed
• Record observations and care provided
• Transfer, transport, and escort residents
• Answer call lights promptly
• Change linens, make beds, and maintain clean resident rooms
• Maintain safe and sanitary work areas
• Encourage independence and participation in activities
• Attend in-service training and education sessions
• Complete additional duties as assigned

Resident Care Associate (RCA) / Caregiver - Freedom Village Holland

Currently Hiring: Part-Time 1st Shift (6am-2pm)

Pay: $14.50-$15.00/hr (base rate)

Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 PT / $3,500 FT

Shift Differentials: +$3.00/$5.00 (2nd/3rd shifts)

Opportunities: Full-Time & Part-Time

About the Role

• Assist licensed nursing staff with activities of daily living
• Support residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, eating, and mobility
• Provide routine care to promote independence and dignity
• Serve as a stepping-stone to becoming a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
• Freedom Village pays for CNA classes + state testing through MTEC
• Guaranteed promotion and pay increase once certified
