Job summary

Methodist Retirement Communities in Huntsville, TX is seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Assistant to join a memory care setting on a 7:00pm–7:00am rotating schedule. You will participate in resident-centered care and a collaborative dining experience, supporting residents in returning to meaningful community life.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas CNA certification with experience in aging populations and basic computer skills. A supportive benefits package is offered to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Texas Certified Nurse Assistant certification preferred.
• Experience with an aging population is preferred.
• Willingness to learn computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to create an environment that encourages resident involvement and personal growth.
• Deliver exceptional care in a household environment during night shift.
• Assist with overall dining experience and collaborative evaluation.
• Assess and implement programming mirroring normal life activities for residents.
• Engage residents mentally and emotionally and support community life.

Hours: 7:00pm-7:00am, rotating schedule with every other weekend off in Memory Support

Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Works as part of a team to create an environment that encourages resident involvement and personal growth
• Delivery of exceptional care in a household environment
• Assistance with the delivery of an overall dining experience and the collaborative evaluation
• Assessment and implementation of programming that will mirror normal life activities of residents (to include the upkeep and management of personal living space)
• Mentally and emotionally engaging their interest and assist them in recapturing the value of community life

Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid Texas Certified Nurse Assistant certification preferred and/or experience in a memory unit
• High school graduate or equivalent is desired

• Knowledge/ability to learn computer skills
