Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a Resident Aide to support nursing staff with non-technical tasks in a patient-centered environment. You will transport residents, assist with feeding, and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA/HIV regulations.

The role requires adherence to safety policies and participation in required in-services, with a focus on compassionate, quality care for residents and families served by Bassett.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist in resident transports throughout the facility and to and from medical appointments as assigned
• Assist in passing fluids and nourishment to residents after completing appropriate in-servicing under guidance of the LPN/Charge Nurse
• Assist the nursing staff in performing tasks such as bed-making for empty beds only, straightening linens, cleaning closets and bedside tables, answer call lights and resident's alarms
• Attend facility offered feeding assistant course as scheduled (expected competency to assist feeding residents as assigned)
• All other non-technical duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing, Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Care Coordinator
• Attend all required in-services and follow all department and facility policies and procedures including the use of personal protective equipment
• Maintain CONFIDENTIALITY of all resident care and employee information and follow HIPAA and HIV regulations
