Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a Resident Aide to support the Nursing staff in performing non-technical tasks and assist with resident care in a patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with transports, feeding assistance after training, bed-making, and following safety procedures. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (preferred) and strong accountability, patience, and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in resident transports to medical appointments.
• Assist in passing fluids and nourishment after training.
• Assist in bed-making and tidying rooms under supervision.
• Attend feeding assistant course as scheduled.
• Perform non-technical duties as assigned by nursing leadership.
• Attend in-services and follow department policies including PPE use.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and employee information per HIPAA/HIV regulations.
