Gentle Touch Health Initiatives on Cottagewood's campus seeks compassionate Resident Assistants to provide physical and emotional care to residents and their families. The role supports independence, assists with daily activities, and ensures safety during transfers and treatments.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to prioritize, and organize work effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living per the service plan (dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, etc.).
• Assist with ambulation and transfers using proper body mechanics and transfer belts.
• Assist residents with hearing aids and glasses.
• Help residents reach and maintain independence.
• Provide physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the RN.
• Observe residents and report changes in condition.
• Encourage participation in activities and escort to events.
• Interact to provide reassurance and engagement.
• Complete required documentation daily; schedules and logs.
• Attend in-service training as assigned.
