Job summary

Cottagewood Senior Communities is hiring a Resident Assistant to support residents with daily living activities and mobility on site in Rochester, MN. The role offers full-time schedules with various shifts and comprehensive training.

We provide competitive wages from $18.00 to $23.00 hourly, shift differentials, paid time off, holidays, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 401K with company match.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to prioritize, and organize work effectively.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
• Team member with good interpersonal skills.
• Punctuality with good attendance record.
• Able to read, write, spell, do basic math, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as identified in the service plan.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and proper body mechanics.
• Assist in use of hearing aids and glasses for residents.
• Support residents to achieve independence and provide emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the RN.
• Observe residents and report changes in condition.
• Encourage participation in activities and escort to events.
• Complete required documentation daily and attend in-service training.
