Job summary

SSM Health is seeking a part-time Caregiver to support residents in a safe, home-like environment within our Long Term Care unit in Wisconsin. The role covers meal service, housekeeping, linen, and mobility assistance to promote independence and comfort.

Completion of CBRF courses is preferred; however, candidates must obtain certification within 60 days of hire. Day shift, 8 hours per week, and opportunities to grow within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years of age.
• Completion of CBRF courses preferred; however, candidates must be willing to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
• No experience required.
• Medication Administration certification is required, or to be obtained within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves meals to residents. Cleans dining room and kitchen after meals; distributes linens and sets tables; feeds residents as assigned.
• Performs basic housekeeping in public areas daily and in resident rooms as needed (beds, dusting, vacuuming).
• Provides information and support to residents; resolves issues and refers unresolved concerns to staff.
• Assists with care tasks such as laundry, linen replacement, and transportation to meals.
• Assists with weekly showers and mobility support; helps residents with transfers and walking as needed.
• Maintains safety and follows facility policies regarding care, nutrition, and ADL support.
