Job summary

La Crosse County is seeking compassionate care staff to support residents in a home‑like assisted living environment. You will assist with daily living activities, meals, medications under RN supervision, and mobility, ensuring safety and dignity.

This role emphasizes resident-centered care, teamwork, and adherence to care plans. Candidates should have valid WI driver license if driving facility vehicles; ability to lift up to 35 lbs; pass background check.

Qualifications

• Requires CBRF Registry and DHS 83 core courses for CBRF assignments.
• Requires valid driver’s license (if driving facility vehicles).
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and assist with transfers up to 50 lbs.
• Must be 18 years old and pass background check per Wisconsin Caregiver Law.

Responsibilities

• Must be 18 and pass background check per WI Caregiver Law.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility with assignments.
