Brio Living Services in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Resident Care Assistant for 1st shift. Part-time role with a 25-hour week, 6am-2:15pm, and weekend premiums. You will provide compassionate personal care, assist with daily activities, and support residents in assisted living and memory care areas.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous caregiver experience preferred.
• Experience with ADLs preferred.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.
• Experience with EMAR system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care – assist with bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting.
• Support mealtime – help residents enjoy meals and stay hydrated.
• Keep residents mobile – assist with transfers and positioning.
• Perform vital checks – measure and record vital signs and intake/output.
• Maintain clean, comfortable rooms and stock essentials.
• Respond to call lights quickly with kindness and professionalism.
• Report changes in resident condition to leadership promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and deliver respectful, high-quality care.

Schedule: 25 hours per week | 1st shift 6am - 2:15pm | Varies Monday - Friday, every other weekend | No scheduling mandation

Shift Premiums: Weekend (Fri 11:00 pm - Sun 10:59 pm) 0.50

What You\'ll Do: As a Resident Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in enriching the lives of our residents by providing compassionate personal care, supporting daily activities, and offering essential assistance in our assisted living and memory care areas. Your dedication will help create a safe, warm, and nurturing environment where residents feel valued, supported, and at home.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Hands-On Care – Assist with personal care (ADLS) like bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Support Mealtime – Help residents enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for good health.
• Keep Things Moving – Support mobility, including turning, positioning, and safe transfers.
• Perform Vital Checks – Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output.
• Maintain Comfort & Care – Keep rooms tidy, cozy, and well-stocked with essentials.
• Provide Responsive Support – Answer call lights quickly and respond with kindness and compassion.
• Monitor with Watchful Eyes – Report any changes in conditions to the leadership ASAP.
• Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism – Maintain confidentiality while delivering top-notch care.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous experience in a caregiver role, preferred.
• Experience with ADLs, preferred.
• Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.
• Previous working knowledge of Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) system, preferred.
