Job summary

Galleria Woods Senior Living in Hoover, Alabama is seeking a Resident Care Assistant (Part-Time) to provide compassionate care for our residents in a 24-bed assisted living setting. You will assist with daily activities, mobility, and companion care, while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.

The position offers part-time shifts with potential full-time hours, daily pay options, and opportunities for growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama CNA certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• One year or more of experience as a CNA or in a caregiving role.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support residents with mobility and transfers per care plans.
• Escort residents to meals, activities, and appointments; serve meals as needed.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition or behavior.
• Promote a safe, comfortable, and caring environment.
• Follow company policies and state/federal regulations.

What You’ll Do

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Supporting residents with mobility and transfers according to individualized service plans
• Escorting residents to meals, activities, and appointments within the communityServing meals in the dining room or resident apartments
• Observing and reporting changes in residents’ physical condition, eating habits, or behavior
• Promoting a safe, comfortable, and caring environment
• Providing services in accordance with company policies and state and federal regulations

Qualifications

Preferred

• Current Alabama CNA certification
• CPR and First Aid certification

Required

• One year or more of experience as a CNA, Resident Care Assistant, or in a related caregiving role
• A genuine passion for working with older adults
• Excellent attendance and dependability
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
