Galleria Woods Senior Living in Hoover, AL is seeking a Part-Time Resident Care Assistant to support residents with daily activities and maintain dignity and independence. The role includes helping with bathing, dressing, mobility, meals, and consistent observation to report changes.

Qualifications

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Supporting residents with mobility and transfers according to individualized service plans
• Escorting residents to meals, activities, and appointments within the community
• Serving meals in the dining room or resident apartments
• Observing and reporting changes in residents’ physical condition, eating habits, or behavior
• Promoting a safe, comfortable, and caring environment
• Providing services in accordance with company policies and state and federal regulations

Position Details

• Position: Resident Care Assistant (Part-Time)
• Location: Galleria Woods Senior Living, Hoover, AL
• Unit: 24-Bed Assisted Living Community
• Schedule: 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., Every Other Weekend
• Pay Rate: $12.50 – $13.25 per hour

What You'll Do

As a Resident Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping residents maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life by:

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Supporting residents with mobility and transfers according to individualized service plans
• Escorting residents to meals, activities, and appointments within the community
• Serving meals in the dining room or resident apartments
• Observing and reporting changes in residents’ physical condition, eating habits, or behavior
• Promoting a safe, comfortable, and caring environment
• Providing services in accordance with company policies and state and federal regulations

Qualifications

Preferred

• Current Alabama CNA certification
• CPR and First Aid certification

Required

• One year or more of experience as a CNA, Resident Care Assistant, or in a related caregiving role
• A genuine passion for working with older adults
• Excellent attendance and dependability
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
