Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System is seeking a Nurse Aide to support licensed staff by providing direct resident care and assisting with daily living activities under supervision. The role includes preparing rooms, ensuring safety, and reporting changes in resident condition to nursing staff.

Qualified applicants will have a NATCEP certificate and be on or able to join the Ohio STNA registry within 4 months, with strong communication and aging-care knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Certificate of Completion of a 75 hours NATCEP.
• Active State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) registry in Ohio within 4 months of hire.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to demonstrate knowledge and skills to care for residents.
• Basic knowledge of aging principles and resident care needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care and assist nursing staff as directed to address resident needs and safety.
• Prepare rooms and assist with resident care supplies as needed.
• Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate stock of resident care supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Demonstrate service excellence and align with the organization's mission and values to promote resident satisfaction.
• Comply with policies and procedures to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
