Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System is seeking a Medication Aide/Nurse Aide to support licensed staff by providing direct resident care and medication administration under supervision. The role includes assisting with personal care, dining, and responding to call lights as needed, while adhering to state rules and hospital policies.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalency, active Ohio Nurse Aide Registry, and a Medication Aide certificate, with excellent communication skills

Qualifications

• Requires High school diploma or equivalency.
• Must be listed on the State of Ohio Nurse Aide Registry.
• Medication Aide certificate required.
• Must have corrected vision and hearing in the normal range.
• Must have excellent communication skills to perform daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care under supervision of a Nurse.
• Perform Medication aide tasks when assigned during non-medication hours per State rules.
• Comply with Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 4723-27 for Medication Administration.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Demonstrate service excellence and align with organizational mission and values to promote resident satisfaction.
• Adhere to policies and procedures to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance.
