Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System is seeking a nursing aide to support licensed staff in assisted living areas under the supervision of a nurse. You will provide direct resident care, assist with personal needs, prep rooms, and help ensure safety and comfort for residents in accordance with policies and regulations.

Ideal candidates are at least 16 years old, with compassionate service, strong communication, and the ability to recognize changes in resident condition.

Qualifications

• Meet the minimum required age of 16 years old.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to provide care appropriate to needs of the residents served on the neighborhood.
• Basic knowledge of aging and problems associated with aging.
• Ability to assess data reflective of resident status and identify needs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge and skill to provide care appropriate to residents' needs and report changes.
• Provide direct resident care and room preparation as directed by nursing staff.
• Order and restock resident care supplies to meet daily needs.
• Display service excellence by upholding mission, vision, values to promote satisfaction.
• Follow organizational policies to ensure quality and compliance.
• Assist in other tasks as directed by Nurse, DON, or ADON.
