Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living in Colonie, NY is seeking a Part Time Resident Care Aide to support memory-impaired residents with daily activities, ensuring dignity and independence. The role requires compassion for the elderly and adherence to care standards, with documentation of care and reporting changes promptly.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and promoting participation in community activities, along with maintaining records and complying with regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CNA/HHA/PCA certification preferred or as required by law.
• One year working in caregiving capacity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist memory-impaired residents with bathing, grooming and dressing while maintaining dignity and independence.
• Ensure compliance with residents' rights regulations and maintain proper care records.
• Report changes in resident condition to supervisor (illness signs, behavior changes, care gaps, medication issues).
• Encourage resident participation in community activities.
• Maintain and document accurate care records.

$16.00 - $17.00 per hour based on experience

shift differential available for evening, night & weekend shifts

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Resident Care Aide

Resident Care Aide Responsibilities include:

• Assisting our memory impaired residents to complete tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining the residents' dignity and promoting their independence
• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents' rights
• Maintain and document proper records of care
• Immediately report changes in resident condition to the supervisor: evidence of illness, changes in behavior, personal care needs not being met, medication issues, residents' whereabouts unknown, etc.
• Promote and encourage residents to participate in community activities

Resident Care Aide Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA, Home Health Aide-HHA, or Personal Care Aide-PCA certification preferred or as required by law
• One year working in a caregiving capacity, preferred
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly, required
