Peregrine Senior Living at Colonie, NY is seeking a Resident Care Aide to assist memory-impaired residents with daily activities, uphold dignity, and promote independence.

The role requires compassion for the elderly, a high school diploma or GED, CNA/HHA/PCA certification preferred or as required by law, and about one year of caregiving experience. Evening shift 11:00pm–7:00am with rotating weekends; generous benefits provided.

Schedule:Full Time 11:00pm - 7:00am (Rotating Weekends)

Salary:$16.00 - $17.00 per hour based on experience

Shift Differential available for evening, night & weekend shifts

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Resident Care Aide

Resident Care Aide Responsibilities include:

• Assisting our memory impaired residents to complete tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining the residents’ dignity and promoting their independence
• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights
• Maintain and document proper records of care
• Immediately report changes in resident’s condition to the supervisor: evidence of illness, changes in behavior, personal care needs not being met, medication issues, residents’ whereabouts unknown, etc.
• Promote and encourage residents to participate in community activities

Resident Care Aide Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA, Home Health Aide-HHA, or Personal Care Aide-PCA certification preferred or as required by law
• One year working in a care giving capacity, preferred
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly, required
