Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living in Clifton Park, NY, is hiring a Resident Care Aide for part-time day shifts with every other weekend. You will support memory-impaired residents with bathing, grooming, and daily activities while preserving dignity and independence.

Strong emphasis on rights, precise care records, and timely reporting of changes is required. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, CNA/HHA/PCA certification (or as required by law), and a compassionate commitment to elder care.

Qualifications

• One year in a care-giving role preferred.
• Compassion for the elderly is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist memory-impaired residents with bathing, grooming, and dressing, maintaining dignity and independence.
• Ensure compliance with residents' rights and document care appropriately.
• Report changes in resident condition to supervisor and record pertinent information.
• Promote resident participation in community activities.

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Resident Care Aide

Schedule: Part Time - Day Shift, every other weekend

Salary: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour, based on experience

Shift differential for evenings, nights and weekend shifts

Resident Care Aide Responsibilities include:

• Assisting our memory impaired residents to complete tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining the residents’ dignity and promoting their independence
• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights
• Maintain and document proper records of care
• Immediately report changes in resident’s condition to the supervisor:evidence of illness, changes in behavior, personal care needs not being met, medication issues, residents’ whereabouts unknown, etc.
• Promote and encourage residents to participate in community activities

Resident Care Aide Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA, Home Health Aide-HHA, or Personal Care Aide-PCA certification preferred or as required by law
• One year working in a care giving capacity preferred
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required
