Job summary

Palm Beach Health Partners is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to provide basic nursing care under supervision. You will perform essential tasks including bathing, grooming, mobility assistance, and routine measurements in a patient-focused environment.

The role emphasizes communication with residents and staff, adherence to infection control, and timely reporting of changes in condition. Background screening and state registry compliance are required for employment.

Qualifications

• Must have completed State Approved Nurse Aide Training and be listed on the State Registry as a Nurse Aide in good standing.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents and staff; able to read and write.
• Prior Nurse Aide experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and receive nursing reports at shift start.
• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, hygiene, and adaptive equipment placement.
• Explain procedures to residents prior to administration.
• Keep residents dry; change gowns, clothing, or linen as needed.
• Make beds and ensure linens are wrinkle-free.
• Follow infection control guidelines for linens.
• Assist with bowel and bladder functions.
• Transport residents to appointments, activities, and programs.
• Assist with lifting, positioning, and moving residents safely.
• Support ambulation with or without devices as instructed.
• Perform restorative procedures as directed.
• Accurately measure and record heights, weights, temperatures, pulses, respira­tions, and blood pressures.
• Empty urinary drainage bags and report irregularities to the nurse.
• Ensure call lights are within reach and respond promptly.
• Check residents who cannot call for help frequently.
• Meet residents’ personal care needs per their wishes.
• Report changes in residents’ condition to the supervisor promptly.
