Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide basic nursing care to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The role involves assisting with bathing, grooming and daily care, and explaining procedures before administration.

Responsibilities include reporting for duty, assisting with adaptive equipment, maintaining cleanliness, changing linens, and making beds for both occupied and unoccupied residents.

Qualifications

• State Registry must show Nurse Aide in good standing
• Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff
• Must be able to read and write

Responsibilities

• Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty
• Assists residents with bathing, grooming, hygiene and placement of adaptive equipment
• Explains procedures to residents before administering
• Keeps residents dry (changes gown, clothing, linen) when wet or soiled
• Changes bed linens and keeps linens tight to avoid wrinkles
• Makes beds (occupied and unoccupied)
