Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living in Delmar, NY is seeking a dedicated Resident Care Aide/Medication Aide to support memory-impaired residents during a 11pm-7am shift. The role emphasizes compassionate care, accurate record-keeping, and collaboration with supervisors to ensure residents’ safety and well-being.

Candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, plus CNA/HHA/PCA certification if available, and a minimum of one year in caregiving.

Qualifications

• Compassion for the elderly is required.
• One year in a caregiving capacity preferred.
• Ability to handle night shifts and maintain patient dignity.

Responsibilities

• Assist memory-impaired residents with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Ensure compliance with residents' rights and regulations.
• Maintain and document care records accurately.
• Report changes in resident condition to supervisor immediately.
• Encourage participation in community activities.

Salary:

$16.50 - $18.00/hour with shift differential– based on experience

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Resident Care Aide/Medication Aide.

Resident Care Aide/Medication Aide Responsibilities include:

• Assisting our memory impaired residents to complete tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining the residents’ dignity and promoting their independence
• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights
• Maintain and document proper records of care
• Immediately report changes in resident’s condition to the supervisor:evidence of illness, changes in behavior, personal care needs not being met, medication issues, residents’ whereabouts unknown, etc.
• Promote and encourage residents to participate in community activities

Resident Care Aide/Medication Aide Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA, Home Health Aide-HHA, or Personal Care Aide-PCA certification preferred or as required by law
• One year working in a care giving capacity preferred
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required
