Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/PCA to provide quality care to residents in Savannah, GA. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor resident well-being, and communicate needs to nursing staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a PCA program, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Flexibility for weekends and holidays is expected; CPR/First Aid certification is required or obtainable within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must complete approved PCA program per state regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized and able to work with all levels of staff.
• Polite and respectful to residents, visitors, and coworkers.
• Able to walk/stand for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and push/carry 25 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified within 60 days.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and care concerns to RN/LPN or ED.
• Maintain knowledge of all policies and procedures.
• Perform housekeeping in resident areas as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies.
• Plan and conduct activity programs for residents.
• Support move-in transitions and provide emotional support.
• Follow confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
• Assist residents to dining rooms and activities; monitor attendance.
• Communicate resident status and upcoming appointments in writing.
