Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations as applicable.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Performs housekeeping duties in resident areas and common spaces as directed.
• Responds promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Communicates resident status and care needs to appropriate personnel.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident information.
• Assists residents moving to dining and activity areas and monitors attendance.
• Reports health changes in residents to nursing staff.
• Goes on rounds to check ill residents and reports concerns.
