Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Roanoke, VA seeks a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide quality daily living assistance to residents. You will report incidents, assist with activities, and support mobility and meals while upholding policies and resident confidentiality.

The role requires HS diploma or GED and completion of a PCA program, strong communication, teamwork, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations as applicable.
• Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• Must be a contributing member of the nursing team and follow supervisor instructions.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods; lift 50 lbs and push or carry 25 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or willing to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and care concerns to appropriate staff.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and mobility.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed.
• Respond to resident calls and emergencies promptly.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Support move-in transition with emotional support and guidance.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
