Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System seeks a nursing aide to support licensed staff by providing direct care and assisting with residents' personal needs in the assisted living areas under supervision. The role aligns with federal, state, and local standards and Birchaven policies.

Responsibilities include caring for residents, preparing rooms, restocking supplies, and upholding the organization's values to enhance resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to provide care appropriate to residents under supervision.
• Basic knowledge of aging and related care needs.
• Ability to assess data reflecting resident status.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge to provide care appropriate to residents and report changes.
• Provide direct resident care and room prep as directed by nursing staff.
• Order and restock resident care supplies as needed.
• Promote resident satisfaction by upholding mission and values.
• Follow organizational policies and confidentiality.
• Assist in other tasks as directed by Nurse, DON, or ADON.
