Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring a Resident Assistant to provide basic care to residents and assist with daily living activities. The RA must have excellent people skills, compassion, and enjoy helping others, supporting the nursing department and families to promote residents' well-being.

Available full-time or part-time hours with days, evenings, or nights shifts. Experience in long-term care preferred; CNA certification and CPR/First Aid required; knowledge of dementias encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred.
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or State Trained Nursing Assistant depending on state regulations.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team.
• Able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care to residents and assist with daily living activities.
• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, and meal services.
• Support social-recreational activities and resident well-being in the community.
• Collaborate with nursing and other departments to deliver efficient care.
• Coordinate with residents and families to promote comfort and safety.
