Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide basic care and assist residents with daily living activities in our Ohio community. The RA supports personal care, mobility, dining, and social activities while collaborating with the nursing team and families to promote well-being.

The ideal candidate has CNA certification or state-trained NA, CPR/First Aid, and a teamwork mindset. Weekend and holiday shifts are required; part-time hours are available, with day or night

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred.
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or State Trained Nursing Assistant per state regulations.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Disease and dementias preferred.
• Ability to work as a team; weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care to residents and assist with daily living activities (hygiene, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, meals).
• Support the nursing department and collaborate with other staff to ensure resident well-being.
• Engage residents in social-recreational activities and coordinate with families as needed.

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring for a Resident Assistant to be responsible for providing basic care to residents and assisting them in daily living activities. The Resident Assistant (RA) must possess excellent people skills and the ability to be compassionate and enjoy helping others. The RA provides care to residents which may include personal hygiene, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, social-recreational activities, meal services and other duties and services as assigned within the community. The RA collaborates and assists in supporting the entire nursing department, other departments, medical professionals, consultants, residents and families in an efficient and economic manner to enable each resident to attain or maintain the highest practical physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being.

What we're looking for:

• Experience in a long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred.
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or State Trained Nursing Assistant dependent upon state regulations
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Disease, other dementias and related memory impairments is preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team.
• Able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
