Job summary

Interfaith Community Services INC is looking for a Resident Behavioral Health Aide to provide basic behavioral and mental health support to patients in various settings. This role works under supervision to help clients stabilize, adhere to treatment plans, and progress toward independence and wellness.

The position requires strong communication, crisis intervention, and teamwork, with a focus on compassionate, confidential care in a supportive environment. Onsite Escondido schedule offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience with severely mentally ill, medically fragile, and homeless populations.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Knowledge of alcohol and other drug recovery field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic physical and mental health services per care plan.
• Observe and report client conditions and treatment responses.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Support therapeutic activities within scope of program.
• Maintain safe environment and de-escalation when needed.
• Maintain client confidentiality and participate in trainings.
