Koelsch Communities in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a part-time Caregiver to join our Resident Services Department at Waverly Inn. Shifts are 10AM-6PM on Wed, Fri, and every other weekend, with a pay range of $20–$21 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be drug-free and submit to drug screening upon hire.
• Ability to gain CPR/First-Aid certification as needed.
• Must pass a criminal background check upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility.
• Engage residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care.
• Respond promptly to all resident needs and assist with care as necessary.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents.
• Observe resident rights at all times and report changes to a licensed nurse.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

You pride yourself in providing exceptional hospitality and personal assistance. This role delivers in a safe and efficient manner the highest quality individualized assistance program to all residents.

What You'll Do

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility
• Engage residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance
• Responds to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provides or obtains assistance with care as necessary
• Keep the environment safe and clean for residents
• Observe and uphold resident rights at all times
• Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and report promptly to a licensed nurse
• Perform other duties as assigned
