Job summary

Vivie is hiring a Resident Assistant for a part-time night shift (11 pm–7:15 am) in Minnesota. The role offers 24 hours per pay period, every other weekend, and every other holiday. Pay ranges from $19 to $23.65 per hour, non-exempt, with benefits and growth opportunities.

The Resident Assistant will help residents with daily activities, meals, and wellness while maintaining a safe, respectful environment and collaborating with nursing staff.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred; may be required for some levels of assisted living.
• Clear and compassionate communication with residents and staff.
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform duties as a Resident Assistant.
• Experience as a caregiver or similar role preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, mobility).
• Support residents with meals, meals, and life skills while respecting preferences.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
• Maintain clean, comfortable living environments (housekeeping, laundry, organizing spaces).
• Prepare, store, and serve meals and snacks to residents.
• Monitor residents’ health and report changes to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and assist their transition to the living space.
• Perform other duties to support the team and ensure quality care.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

This Job Also Requires

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.

• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
