Job summary

Vivie seeks a Resident Assistant to join our caring team in Minnesota. This part-time position covers evenings (4:30pm-8:30pm) with a holiday requirement, paid hourly from $19 to $23 based on experience and location.

You will assist residents with daily activities, meals, and wellness, while supporting housekeeping, mobility, and transitions to their new home.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, mobility).
• Support meals, restorative care, and life skills per residents' preferences.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable environment through housekeeping and laundry.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals and snacks.
• Monitor changes in health or well-being and report to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and assist with transitions into their new home.
• Perform other duties to support the team and care.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

This Job Also Requires

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
