Job summary

Vivie is seeking a part-time Resident Assistant to join our Nursing department in Minnesota. The role includes assisting residents with daily activities, meals, and mobility, while maintaining a safe and respectful living environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with nursing staff, encouraging social and wellness activities, and ensuring cleanliness and comfort. CNA certification in MN/WI is preferred, with background checks and strong English communication required to support

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification in MN or WI (preferred; may be required for some levels).
• Clear and compassionate communication with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to pass a state background study.
• Physical ability to perform duties required by the position.
• English reading, writing, and speaking well enough to communicate with staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills while respecting preferences.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable environment through housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks to promote a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

Schedule: Part Time | 48 hours per pay period | Week 1 (Monday, Friday, Saturday), Week 2 (Sunday, Tuesday, Friday) | 3:00pm - 11:15pm

Pay Range: $19-$23.65 (non-exempt) based on location, experience, and qualifications

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.

This Job Also Requires

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
