Job summary

Vivie is seeking a Resident Assistant in Minnesota for a part-time role scheduled at 6 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., 35 hours per pay period, with every other weekend and holiday.

The position offers hourly pay of $18.50–$23.65, non-exempt, with benefits including retirement matching, health coverage, PTO, and development opportunities. You will assist residents with daily activities, meals, and wellness, while promoting a respectful, safe, and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a caregiver or personal care assistant is helpful.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification preferred or may be required for some levels.
• Clear and compassionate communication with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills respecting preferences.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable environment through housekeeping and laundry.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health or well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and assist with transitions to their new home.
• Perform other duties to support the team and ensure high-quality care.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.

• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
