Job summary

Vivie in Minnesota is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide day-to-day support and companionship for residents. You will assist with daily activities, meals, and mobility while promoting a safe, comfortable home environment and positive dining experiences.

Work closely with nursing staff, demonstrate strong teamwork and communication, and help residents engage in wellness activities. Flexible day, evening, and overnight shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.

• Reading, writing, and speaking English proficiently.
• CNA certification preferred; may be required for some locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting and mobility.
• Support meals, restorative care, and life skills while respecting preferences.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
• Maintain a clean environment through housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals and snacks; support positive dining experiences.
• Monitor health or emotional changes and report to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them adjust to their new home.
• Perform other duties to support the team and ensure quality care.

Schedule: Flexible Scheduling Available! We hire for day, evening, and overnight shifts based on current needs. Opportunities may include part-time or full-time hours.
Pay Range: $18.50 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

This Job Also Requires

• A commitment to serving with excellence and integrity.
• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
