Job summary

Great Lakes Management in Eau Claire, WI seeks a compassionate Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care in a supportive environment. You will assist with activities of daily living, support residents physically and emotionally, and participate in dining and activities.

Work part-time shifts (PM 2p-10p, AM 6a-2p, and PRN), with shift differentials. Responsibilities include medication documentation, reporting changes to the case manager, and completing daily records.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition to the casemanager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
• Administer and document Medication per policy and Dr. Orders.
