Job summary

Vivie is seeking a Resident Assistant to deliver hands-on support to residents, assist with daily activities, and promote dignity and companionship. The role includes meal support, hygiene assistance, and facilitating activities to enrich daily living.

Work is on-site with an on-call schedule and a minimum of 3 shifts per month. Prior caregiving exposure is helpful, CNA certification preferred in some cases, with a focus on safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification preferred or may be required at higher levels.
• English proficiency to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
• Pass a state background check.
• Physical ability to perform caregiving duties and daily activities.
• Experience as a caregiver or personal care assistant preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills respecting preferences.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance quality of life.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable environment through housekeeping and laundry.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor health or emotional changes and report to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition into their new home.

Pay Range: $19 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
