Job summary

Benedictine is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to support residents with daily living activities, provide compassionate care, and help build meaningful relationships within a senior care setting.

You will observe residents, document needs, and assist with onboarding new Associates while maintaining required training, including medication administration and lift equipment operation. English communication and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Provide daily living assistance to residents and maintain a clean, safe living environment.
• Observe and document residents' conditions and activities.
• Assist with onboarding of new Associates to integrate into the team.
• Complete and maintain medication administration training and competencies.
• Must be 18+ to operate lift equipment per statute.
• Demonstrate ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks independently.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills with residents, families, and staff.
• Read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living activities and help maintain their personal environment.
• Provide observation and documentation of resident status and needs.
• Assist with onboarding of new Associates to ensure smooth integration.
• Maintain required medication administration training and competencies.
• Operate lift equipment where required in accordance with regulations.
• Prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and team members.
• Ensure English reading/writing proficiency is demonstrated in daily work.
