Job summary

Union Gospel Mission of the Inland Northwest in Spokane, WA seeks a Resident Assistant to supervise client services and house management in the Shelter. You will train volunteers, manage data, and ensure a clean, safe, healing environment while coordinating with staff and leadership.

The role emphasizes ministry, accountability, and service to women and children, with a Christ-centered workplace culture and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Grounded and committed Christian with servant-leadership mindset.
• Active member of the body of Christ and supportive of ministry values.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with compassionate approach.
• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accurate record-keeping.
• Minimum three (3) years sobriety, if in recovery.
• Valid WA or ID driver’s license and insurable.
• CPR/First Aid certification recommended; TB clearance yearly.

Responsibilities

• Supervise client services and house management.
• Train and supervise volunteers and desk staff.
• Maintain accurate client data and shift logs.
• Monitor security via cameras and alarms; enforce safety rules.
• Oversee intake and exit processes and coordinate with staff.
• Lead and coordinate in swing and graveyard shifts as needed.
